Limerick is underrated. I've heard it called the armpit of Ireland as well as Ireland's crime-central - both names undeserved. I had a grand time in this little city. Limerick is pretty small, you can walk all the way across it in less than an hour, but its size gives it a certain charm. It felt a lot more personable than Cork, at least to me. Limerick's countryside is very charming, in that stereotypical idyllic way. The picture isn't of the best quality, the overcast skies on the day that I took it didn't help either, but you get the idea. And the locals are pretty friendly too.

The castle looks great !
Nice page with great photos and good tips, I’ll be walking in your footsteps in a bit more then a week. Thanks for the info. I can feel what you felt about the castle, they really look small once you are inside. In our imagination it’s always bigger.
There once was a young man from Massachusetts Who said - Well, if the shoe fits. I'll go visit Limerick I won't act like a prick And I expect I'll have a jolly nice time.
Great to read nice words about Limerick! It IS underated! Good, interesting pages. I flew once and loved it. Didn´t try any loops though.. maybe next time? ;)
Interesting pages, its always nice to try imagine life and its happenings when in old castles.
Aerobatics in a model aircraft? No, I don't think so. If you like castles there are plenty in these fair Isles.
