Nothing much happened so far, hope you still enjoy being here, scanning more for you now so you can enjoy them later :)

27-03-2002

This morning from Emmen - Zwolle - Deventer - Apeldoorn by [train] (see also www.ns.nl for train traveling info) and from the trainstation for only 1 Euro to Het Loo and back.

We, I met my friend at the trainstation, walked to the main gate and found the entrance, yeah, it was pretty early, only 11:35am so we had all day to look around WRONG!!! Dear sir, do you have a ticket, please walk to the stables and get a valid ticket there! OOPS, sorry, he he, so to the stables.. There was a bunch of people, eh, even more, some 600 people were gathered there, waiting all for some 90 minutes in front of the gate to get inside with a VALID ticket! This is 2002 we are writing about! This is THE NETHERLANDS we are talking about! Whaw, first I thought this is a joke, BUT no, I had to stand there, cold but dry, in the sun, turn right, turn left, talk, talk, many old grey ladies made me company and well, time walked by, the first people even left the scene already and by 1:15pm after 90 minutes we were inside! With reduction by my Musea Card for 50% so instead of the 7 Euro it was 'only' 3,50 Euro to go inside to admire Maxima 's dress.

Well we saw many black old limousines, black old carriages, the "Gouden Koets" and the "Witte Koets". All testimonies off Dutch momarchie thrue the years. Decorated chambers from all over the 17th and 18th century, old paintings and images from the "Oranje" family now and years back. So if you are interested in history, furniture, clothing, pictures and a nice castle and park, please check out the pictures in a few days!

I went for het Loo, the Palace to admire princess Maxima her weddingdress!

A place to visit every time of year, that's for the castle that's called HET LOO. A beautiful garden surrounding it, whaw, deer walking in the park, I love to be there on a Sunday afternoon, so relaxing!

Please be patient as I will search for some great pictures

If you'd like to say something, please send me an e-mail
