Updating my Amsterdam Travelogues with some 150 new photos and stories about the Zaanseschans.

I live in the vilage called Emmen, about 35 kilometers south-east of Assen.

There are about 100,000 people living here, it's quite an industrial area but also good for tourists to have a look around in the local zoo and to see the 'Hunebedden'.

Do you have any ideas or remarks, please send me an e-mail, I will be glad to reply.

The atmosphere was good May 31st and I am already looking forward to the coming Festivals as we will have the C'est la Vie Festival on July 28th.

ITS NEXT WEEKEND!!!

A Festival filled with street theater and podium performance. Maybe you would like to come as well? Opening is at 1pm and we party on until 1am on Monday morning :)

Strange to find the tips about Emmen at the page of my birthplace. Nice to see all those known cafes, festivals and ... even the melkfabriek in Noordbarge ? Ik ontdekte het terras bij de waterskibaan in het Ermerzand ook toevalig vorig jaar.
