Castle and Chateau FRİDLANT
Visited on August 4th 2002,
It was a bright and sunny morning and Prague showed it’s inner beauty as I woke up for my last day in the Czech Republic. Putting my luggage in the car was not the problem, just brought one bag and my tripod so I was ready to go for FRİDLANT! As I got my information from this magazine, it did not say where the city of FRİDLANT is situated or how to get there. It’s quit simple, really, just follow the route number 10 from Prague up to the North-West and keep on driving as before the 10 ends the signs for FRİDLANT will be there! At the time I arrived the sun was already on its highest point, he he, no way, it was much later, I did not follow the 10 so far! I drove the wrong way, was near the Polish border, trying to find my way along a natural resort and some water-reservoir… Just after four I arrived in FRİDLANT, just in time to find out you are only allowed in under strict guidance and after paying some Czech Kroon.
