This is a picture of the Citrus Bowl I am a native of Florida and grew up in Orlando. I've seen a lot of changes. I enjoy the theme parks, but there are things to enjoy in Orlando that are just as fun (if not more) than theme parks. One of the things that people don't realize is that it is hard to fully enjoy Orlando in the summer -- it should be visited in the winter. While Orlando is in the northern hemisphere, our winter weather is comparable to the summer weather that most people enjoy. Our summer weather is unbearable. I stay indoors (or in the pool) all summer long and rarely go to the beach and never a theme park during this season. I visit the beaches in the spring and early fall. I go to the parks in the winter. We grill in the winter because it is too hot outside in the summer to stand over a fire. I enjoy the winter in Orlando. I'll confess that during the summer months, I wish I were anywhere but Orlando, but you can't beat the weather in the winter. |
