Scotland is a great country to visit, endless lochs, magnificent glens, historic castles, rugged coastlines -- add to that the friendliness and helpfulness of the local people and you have an excellent destination to explore -- but you really need a car to see the best of Scotland....
Travelling by road is easy although in the highlands many roads are single-lane so your journey may take longer than expected -- plus there is a tendency to stop every few minutes to admire the scenery and take yet another photograph !
I don't think my photos do justice to the fantastic views that you see there but at least I hope they give you an idea of what bonny Scotland has to offer.
