A green and pleasant place ...

I really enjoyed my first visit to Kosice in eastern Slovakia -
it's small enough to walk around easily - clean - friendly - beautiful architecture - lots of nice restaurants, cafes and bars --
all in all a very nice place to visit.

Central Europe is obviously full of great surprises well hidden from the usual Prague-Budapest-Tallinn itineraries. Funny description of "jazzy" trams.

We are just back from a little trip through the High Tatry and the Ukraine. In Kosice we stayed one night in the Penzion Platz and really enjoyed it there. :-)

I am going to Kosice next july 2006 for the wedding of my nephew to a Slovak girl. They are getting married in the Cathedral and we are staying in the hotel Slovan where the wedding reception will be held. your page is very helpfull.
