The small resort of Lillafured in the Bukk National Park is just about half an hour by narrow-guage railway from Miskolc

If you enjoy walking or cycling, then Lillafured would be an ideal base although there's not a great deal to do in the village itself.

The surrounding Bukk National Park scenery is magnificent and it's worth the trip from Miskolc just to see that and the view over the lake to the majestic Hotel Palota.
