Kinder Reservoir - Peak District National Park

Kinder Reservoir

Be prepared - the weather can change quickly.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good walking boots, warm clothing and waterproofs are a must - the weather can change very quickly, especially on the upland areas. On my photo of Kinder Reservoir, you can see the mist covering Kinder Scout in the background - the mist had fallen quickly and the temperature dropped considerably in a short space of time, so always be prepared.

Take a rucksack, a flask of your favourite hot drink and some food.

Photo Equipment: Certainly take a camera - the views are spectacular.

Miscellaneous: Have a good map and compass. I use the Ordnance Survey (OS) Explorer maps, OL24 White Peak and OL1 Dark Peak - the scale is 1:25,000
