| York with the Minster in the background |
Just went to the historic, Roman city of York for a day and a night so this isn't an in-depth guide, just a few photos and a few tips to share.
York is a very nice city to walk around with old town and new town areas, lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs to visit and a few museums too including the National Railway Museum -- and of course York Minster, the superb Gothic cathedral. The rivers Ouse and Foss provide the opportunity for boat trips or nice walks if you want to get away from the city. |
