I was not sure about what to expect from the sixth continent, when a plane started its descent towards the Sydney International Airport. Still tired from the study visit to Japan, prior to the backpacking trip to Australia, I was glad to have a bed reserved in YHA Sydney Central hostel. There is a direct bus line from airport to the hostel, located in the very center of Sydney, a few steps from the central train station and even closer to the bus stop, actually only a pleasant walk to anywhere. A viable alternative to the backpackers' centerpoint - Kings Cross.
