La Spezia is a town just to the south of the villages that make up the Cinque Terre. You can take the train to La Spezia from most cities in Italy, then connect to the small trains that will stop in each of the villages, each five minutes apart. Exploring the Cinque Terre is like stepping back into time. These are very small villages known for their pesto dishes and amazing sunsets. Take a day or two and explore these towns. There are hiking trials that connect the towns (no vehicles are allowed in the Cinque Terre) and you will see some amazing views along the way. Have fun! |
