Den Helder is the most Northern point of the main land of the Provence of Noord Holland. It is the base for the Dutch Navy fleet. From den Helder you can take the ferry to the Island of Texel.

 "can be noisy at times", well I can't agree with that comment. The Forest Hotel is excellent, good situated and no noise at all. B.t.w. the cinema is not there any longer !!
