Hollandsche Veld got its name from the field of the Hollandse Compagnie, founded by the merchants of Holland who financied the cultivation of the moors around 1625. The area is in between the present Haagje, Wolfsbos, Hollandscheveldse Opgaande, Zuideropgaande, Nieuw-Moscou, Elim and the Westside of Nieuwlande.
