| | The village Huisduinen is a little village at the West coast next to Den Helder. Where the North Sea beach ends Huisduinen starts. On the picture above the whole village can be seen. In the middle is Fort Kijkduin (museum and sea-aquarium) and to the right is the "Lange Jaap" lighthouse. |
| | The coast At Huisduinen the sea is rather deep and the coast is protected with a big dike. A little more to the South the beach starts, but also here extra protectection against the force of the Northsea waters are made. |
