Kreileroord
Facts

Kreileroord is the smallest village in the Wieringermeer polder. It has about 500 inhabitants living in seven streets.

History

The village was build in 1957 as a home for farm labourers, but agriculture mechanisizing required less workers. So the village stayed small and the two schools and the community center were demolished. A new center called "Doorbraak" replaces the 3 buildings.
