| | OLDENZAAL Oldenzaal already was known in 806 as the town of Aldenseelen. De construction of the St. Plechelmus basilic was started in 954 and this church stayed the center of the city. Oldenzaal, although not situated at a waterway, was a Hanze town and so connected to the other trade cities. |
