|  | I asked several locals what they did for a living and all I got was: I do nothing. This is one island where everybody lives from tourism, daily feeded by the arriving cruise ships.
The cruise ship terminal is well organized and much of Nassau's town center is focussed on the cruise ship passengers.
Another place is Paradise Island, which is separated from Nassau by a toll bridge. This is just a luxery island with some expensive hotels, like the well-known Atlantis.
On the rest of the island there are resorts and hotels along the coast line.
Luckely in the South some unspoiled spots can be found. |

Just came back from a cruise which stopped at Nassau. Nice to stop there for a day. Next time you're on Paradise Island try "Murray's Delicatessan" right at the yacht harbor. The best hamburger I've ever had! | AR76 Tue Apr 13, 2004 08:23 UTC
