There are lots of Roman ruins just hanging around downtown. Local merchants often set up shop near them.

In the summer there are dozens of vendors selling fresh fruit and produce. I forgot that a kilogram was more than twice a pound, and ended up with a ton of cherries for the equivalent of about $2.

The amphitheater downtown is a leftover from Roman times, but public events are still held there. Underneath are artifacts used in the making of olive oil.

When wandering around downtown, I happened to stumble upon a perfromance by an...accordion orchestra! Who knows what you might find there.
