|  | Mini cruise to Amsterdam As it was my daughter Natasha's 14th birthday on 9th March and not knowing what to buy her(well dad's never do when their little girls get to that age)i saw advertised that the new ship in the DFDS fleet the King of scandinavia was being launched on 12th March. |
We Saw some colourful sights on the way. On arrival ,We were taken from the ferry terminal at Ijmuiden by coach to the centre of Amsterdam and after a FREE coach tour organised by DFDS we were dropped off opposite centralstation with free time to do as we pleased. | | |

| | But what is there for young ones? Never having been to "The Dam" before we weren't all that sure what there was to do when we got there although we did only have a few hours to spend on land,so with a little research and the help of all you good VT'ers,we decided to visit the Artis zoo.
So we had a steady walk along to dam square, to the Amstel and finally along to the Artis zoo. |
