Hi Bill
I second that emotion! That revolving restuarant really merits a tip ... presumably including the caveat that the view is best experienced after dark!
Regards
Cathy
I'm very disappointed not to see a review of the revolving restaurant you mentioned! My only visit to the USA was a plane change at Houston on the way to Mexico, and I was really impressed by the lack of landscape on the approach. The equvalent run into Heathrow might take you over the North Sea, the Thames estuary, several towns, and of course London itself. All I saw out of the window was mile after mile of red dirt with the occasional dead straight road. The contrast in the scale of the lndscapes left a very strong impression.
How can it be like Octoberfest without the beer tents?
i've never heard anyone compare anything in texas to oktoberfest before. . . generally, i think all of texas is to be feared and loathed, though. Nice pictures.
I like your presentation of the State Fair. I enjoy seeing the animals being displayed. Makes me long for the country life but I am just a plain old city slicker.
Looks like a great fair! Excellent travelogue!
