A merchants city Rostov-on-Don doesn't have a lot to offer the casual traveler, however if you happen to be passing through, there is more than enough here to keep you occupied for a day or two. Rostov is a retail city with European streets lined with shop after shop selling shoes, toys, clothes, alcohol, pretty much whatever you need. The problem is, that everystore sells the SAME things. It seems that every toy store is a lego store, every shoe store sells the identical pairs of shoes, etc...BUT the goos side of this is that the prices are very competitive, it seemed that the prices were 25 to 50% less than in Moscow or Petersburg!
