Perth..a city of friendly people, wonderful weather and glorious beaches. Look at the webcam overlooking The Swan River and also surf-cams of Perth beaches at http://perthcam.bankwest.com.au/ .The main webcam is situated on top of the Bankwest Tower overlooking The Swan River.The pic here is a sunset off the coast near Exmouth off a small oil producing island called Thevenard Island. The island produces the finest quality crude in the world with tankers from the gulf calling in and mixing Thevenard Island crude with their heavier crudes before heading to petroleum facilities around the world. Mixing the 2 crudes makes it much easier and cheaper to 'crack' the crude into the products. The seas in this area rarely go deeper than 10 metres until you reach the continental shelf drop off about 40kms west and at a constant 26 degrees celcius the waters are not recomended as safe to swim in due to the high levels of bacteria..nasty if youve got a scratch.
