Winter o3/04...Spending my third consecutive winter here. I lived in Mammoth in 1980-1986, then moved to Summit County Colorado for 14 years. When I came back here a couple of years ago, I remembered what I'd been missing...FABULOUS SKIING!! They may get a softer powder in the Rockies, but I'll take the steeps and wind-buffed snow of Mammoth any day. Plus it's huge. Plus the weather is great...big deep storms, then a couple of weeks of sunshine. Many alternate sports activities as well. |
