"Village of Old Harbor" Old Harbor by kaloz
Old Harbor Travel Guide: 6 reviews and 9 photos
Old Harbor is a village of just over 200 people. I was very surprised that it is quite spread out, having three sections; OldTown, UpTown, & Hollywood. It is a dramatic setting in the sheltered waters of Sitkalidak Strait.
Just south of Old Harbor is Three Saints Bay, site of the first Russian settlement. Many of the Aluutiq people were killed. But now the Orthodox Church is the center of the community.
The people of Old Harbor are friendly and like to tell stories. So relax listen and enjoy.
- Pros:Friendly and Beautiful with good Fishing and Hunting
- Cons:Accesable only by small aircraft, or fishing boat
- In a nutshell:Absolutely Gorgeous

I had planned a fly-in at St. Petersburg but got canned due to weather. Looks like a great experience. The photo of the post office is priceless!
Great Pictures Nick! I love your Sweat Lodge picture! This is certainly and "Off the Beaten Path" Place!
Beautiful Othodox churches !
Love the picture of the Russian Church.
Old Cliffie would relish the challenge - but it's a long walk from Luxembourg!
