    • Most people think of Honolulu in Hawaii, but there is one in Alaska also. It is so far off the beaten path that most Alaskans don't know it exists. It is the half way point between Anchorage and Fairbanks on the Alaska Rail Road line at Mile Post 288.7. Take a picture and include it with your Christmas Cards.

    • Come a little further and visit myself and Herzog63 in Kodiak, an hour flight, and a VT meeting. See a fishing village and you might go out and see a bear.

    • I found this place, away out of the mainstream. And I'm not telling you where, but it has everything you need if you are so inclined. Get money at payroll advance, get a ring at the pawn shop, fix your hair at the barber and salon to look your best, get married at the chapel and florist, then hand out the cigars. Life just doesn't get any better.

    • Part of Anchorage's charm is that it is amazingly beautiful. Keep your eyes open as you walk around. Often the exposed sides of buildings will be painted with wonderful murals. These may or may not be seen from the front, so walk around a bit, you may discover something fantastic.
