As a family, we spent 19 months living in Toyohashi. We also made a few trips around the country including one to Hokkaidou in the summer of 2002. Now back in Canada.

Pros and Cons
- Pros:Small enough that you can get to know the city in a short time, and it has a streetcar line! (shiden)
- Cons:relatively boring city, but if you want to taste the culture of Japan, I think that it's perfect.
- In a nutshell:Rice paddy to 4-star hotel is a short walk!
