I knew Pisa was a quick trip from Florence and although many have said there isn't anything much to see there other than the tower, I just had to go! In spite of some disappointments, the trip was worth it, and I enjoyed every minute of my time in Pisa.
As you can see from this picture, I got there at night. My camera's flash wasn't enough light to brighten up the picture but if you ask me, I kinda like this one...it's a bit mysterious and eerie. Hehehe :p
Secondly, since it was 6pm, it was closed...dead, deserted, nothing. The gates were padlocked and I couldn't even get close enough.
But you know what? Nothing could have dampened my spirits at that time. I was having such a wonderful time on the trip that anything I saw of Europe was beautiful to me. So, lights or not, open or padlocked, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, to me, was spectacular!!! |

I was here during the day, but still my photos didn't came out well! I'm glad you didn't push the tower! :-) It's very fragile nowadays! |
