The Emerald City

The name given to Seattle as it rises like a sparkling jewel amongst the scenic view of crystal waters and snowcapped mountain peaks. A multi-cultural metropolitan offering entertainment, international cuisine, museums, concerts, sports etc. Seattle offers the best of city life nestled in a unique natural setting. Known as one of the most livable cities in the United States it is trendy, sophisticated, exciting and beautiful. It is called the Emerald City because of the regular rainfall throughout the year nourishing nature's flora keeping everything lush and green. So, when you come to Seattle, your eyes will behold mountains, lakes, pine forests and waterfalls and Seattle nestling like a jewel in it's natural surroundings.

I emigrated from UK on 5th November 2003 and this has been my home unofficially up until 20th July 2004 (going through immigration process after getting married 12th December 2003) where I am now an official legal resident. :o)

SEATTLE
(sung by Perry Como)
The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green, in Seattle
Like a beautiful child, growing up, free an' wild
Full of hopes an' full of fears, full of laughter, full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years, in Seattle . . . in Seattle!

When it's time to leave your home and your loved ones
It's the hardest thing a boy can ever do
An' you pray that you will find someone warm an' sweet an' kind
But you're not sure what's waiting there for you!

The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green, in Seattle
Like a beautiful child, growing up, free an' wild
Full of hopes an' full of fears, full of laughter, full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years, in Seattle . . . in Seattle!

When you find your own true love, you will know it
By her smile, by the look in her eye
Scent of pine trees in the air, never knew a day so fair
It makes you feel so proud that you could cry!

The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green, in Seattle
Like a beautiful child, growing up, free an' wild
Full of hopes an' full of fears, full of laughter, full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years, in Seattle . . . in Seattle!

In Seattle . . . in Seattle . . . in Seattle!
