This colonial town does not have peeling paint like Havana does, although the houses are less grand. It is a wonderful place with Playa Anca only a short ride (20 min) away. (My first experience of the Carribean Sea.) The beach is wonderful, quiet and clean. You can see the fish in the water, just look! Seemingly the beach is discovered only by French and Italians, and has only one small hotel on it. I did not see as many husslers or tourist-milkers. The music venues were fantastic, and I just loved walking on the cobblestones and looking at the interesting old buildings. |
