So quiet and so few people. We spend a week in Posio from 27.12.2003-3.1.2004. The weather was great, except at new yers eve and the day after that; it was -34 celsius. Too cold to spend time outside.
This scenery opened just outside of our rented cottage, that is located in keski-Posio, appr.10 kilometers from Posio.
Cross-country skiing on lake Posio, just two of us, hot chocolate, freezing weather: what else do you need?
Near Posio is a place called Korouoma-national park. That is a must place to visit for its scenery, nature and all!
What was the biggest surprise there? Absolutely the fact that stars, moon and sun is much closer than in southern Finland. And i mean very close; you could even touch the stars! And also "northern lights" were spectacular sight! |
