Haad Son Bungalows: Best place in north-west K.Phangan?

One of the few places with swimming pool and private sandy beach! There is internet, laundry service and motorbikes for rent(150 bahts/24hrs) and excellent restaurant. Also cool chill-out place with nice matresses on the floor and ambient music on the stereos...Sooooo relaxing. The beach isnt so good for swimming, but for snorkeling its excellent. Nearest supermarket is only for 500 meters away, by the road heading to Thong Sala.
Unique Qualities: Superb views to watch the sunset. You can be in the swimmingpool, sipping beer and watch that big red thing disappearing in the west... The room rates are from 500 bahts to 1300 bahts. The cheapest are very basic huts on the beach(waterfront), and the expensive alternatives are on the hill(about 200 meters to beach) with a/c, own bathroom/toilet and refrigerator.

Baan Panburi Resort: Best beach on Koh Phangan?

Very nice place in the small village(Paanburi) in the north-east part of Koh Phangan. In the village there are some very nice restaurants and bars. Prices are from 500 to 2000 bahts, but the best alternative is a bungalow on the waterfront with fan, hot water and toilet for the price of 960 bahts. Own small terrace with chairs.
Unique Qualities: Absolutely best sandy beach for swimming and sunbathing. Also for children, cause it is not so deep. The road there is a must see! It is a dirt road, that is in very bad condition. Four wheel drive or powerful motocross bike is highly recommended! They have internet service, long-distance calls(mobile phones doesnt work there!), laundry, massage and beach bar(opened when we were there). Canoes for rent

Very good value bungalows. Rates from 500-1000 bahts. Only few a/c-rooms, but a/c isnt really needed, cause fans are very powerful and the breeze from the sea cools the weather at nights. Most of the bungalows has a hammock on the terrace and couple of chairs. But, NO mosquito-nets, so bring your own, if you want to sleep in peace!!!
Unique Qualities: Excellent restaurant, bbq every night. Friendly staff, that speaks good english. Laundry service. E-mail is only contact. Lonely Planet has their phone number, but they dont have phone any more. The beach is very quiet, almost empty. There is one supermarket on the other end of the beach(appr.500 meters away). A place for total relax.

Excellent location. Near Haadrin, but far enough Haadrin. About 10 minutes walk to Full Moon Party-beach. Rooms/bungalows from 400 to 1800 bahts
Unique Qualities: Nice outdoor restaurant, massage(cheap&good), decent beach, quiet, clean rooms and nice staff.
