Having lived in Wyoming for 8 of the past 11 years, I had a great opportunity to enjoy the wide open spaces, abundant wildlife and spectacular scenery. Being a sparsely populated state, Wyoming lacks cultural attractions and variety in dining. Do not ask for a garden burger here, this is beef country. :-) If you are thinking of relocating to Wyoming, I would recommend staying away from the Big Horn Basin -- it's a beautiful place but the people are notoriously unfriendly to outsiders. Other parts of the state, like Laramie and southeastern Wyoming, are much more hospitable. The state has a rich history associated with the Oregon Trail, and is home to several American Indian tribes. |
