| One of Stockholm's many harbors |
Stockholm is probably my favorite city in the world. There are beautiful buildings, friendly people, excellent pubs and too much to do in a summer month! I have been three times and still haven't finished seeing all of the museums.
I spent a week in Stockholm one summer and was blown away by the incredible warmth for such a northern location. I found my way around quite easily, in spite of not knowing how to speak Swedish.
Stockholm has many redeeming qualities, but the best is the incredibly friendly people. Everyone that I met at restaurants, pubs, on the streets or at the hotel was engaging and beautiful! Stockholm is the place to be...

I also found Stockholm to be an outdoors extravaganza that is best experienced in the summer. If you can get out into the beautiful archipelago for a day, do it! Even a walk in Djurgarden is a rural experience right near downtown. |
