Here is my birthplace. It is Historic city, revolution city, and zealous city, with 3000 years antiquity which is the centre of east azarbydjan shire. It is in the north-west of Iran, near to Urmieh Lake.
It was a small citadel 15 centuries ago, and was capital of ilkhanian period 10 centuries ago. Afterward, the city was capital of many dominions several times. Act of God such as earthquake and cataclysm, has been destroyed it frequently. It was exterminate due to earthquake 300 years ago and so there are a few antique places remained. It was one of the most important trade cities on silk-road.
Tabriz is mainly an industrial city and there are a lot of manufacturers. It is second city in Iran and its weather is mountain and you can see all four seasons on it.
Its people are very hospitable, affectionate, devout, and defend of their common law.
The best time for traveling is the month of June and July. The forest of Khalkhal and Varzgan are the best sight for visiting of mountaineers. Modern urbanism has been imbued during passed 30 years and now you can see many big buildings and steeples all over the city.
In confectionery, Its souvenirs are Ris, Nooka, Gorabieh, Latifeh and Baglava (which delicious ones can be found in Rex market at Shahnaz intersection) and in dry goods, Its souvenirs are Pistachio, Almond, Walnut, … (Which first-class of those can be found in Tavazo market at Shahnaz intersection).
