    You've seen the film 'Picnic At Hanging Rock' and the case of the mysterious (and implied spooky) disappearance of 3 schoolgirls. Now try work out for yourself the case of your own disappearing ready cash (less spooky) at the Hanging Rock Races.

    There are two annual meets a year - New Year and Australia Day - and they are really great family days out. Overshadowed by the Volcanic Plug that is Hanging Rock, the National Park hosts a large, friendly crowd with some 7-8 races in the day

    Equipment: An esky full of picnic and drink requirements, a sun hat, blanket to sit on and pen to mark your selection. Oh, and plenty of cash LOL.
