Love it or hate it, London is one of the world's most dynamic places. Its not a pretty city, but has so many attractions for tourism as well as a place which is constantly re-inventing itself (streets are always being dug-up, new buildings erected etc..).Look out for the chaos in Trafalgar Square and surrounds as part of the square is being made into a pedestrian area, linking the National Gallery with the Square itself. Next on the list is the corners of Oxford Street and Charing Cross/Tottenham Court Road.

Londoners love to complain about their city - there are too many people, there's too much traffic, the tubes don't work properly, the transport is too congeted, its too expensive -all of which is true. But deep down there is an immense pride in the city that vies for the World's Top City (along with New York).

I lived for 15 years in London until 1997 (when my work took me to Israel) but I go back several times a year (still have an apartment in Highbury).
