München-Ja! I have visited Munich twice, in 1978 and again in 1983. I plan to return for Oktoberfest in 2019, after I retire from teaching. Prost! This picture is Marienplatz, with the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) to your right and the twin domes of the Frauenkirche off in the background. The column on the left part of the square is the Mariensäule, dating from 1638 atop which the Virgin Mary watches over Munich. |
