Gracious, wise , mellow, charming;
in the league of the Peninsula, Oriental, Grosvenor.
I remember a few short stays there, an absolute contrasr to backpacking, but the enjyoment of its service is unforgettable;
and if you're on Company expense, take a 3 day special a grand for two

Unique Qualities: I remember :
the fine rack of Karoo lamb flavoured by the dry Karroo grass;
the tea and cucumber sandwiches on the patio;
the set menu meals in the dining hall, with impeccable service;
the smoked whiskey in the pub with whiffs of cuban cigars;
