Another visit to the MOTHER CITY soon?

Oh dear, the tick tock continues unabated and i have been absent since 2008, that's 3 years water flow under the bridge.
However, i did make a curried pickled fish over the weekend accompanied by a Roberts Rock Chenin Blanc/chardonay blend - memories.

which reminds me of the Pork Bourguignon mage with Cathedral Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon accompanied by a hearty Graham Beck Game Reserve red - so very SuidAfrikaans

How i wish i can attend the next Three day Wine Show in ape Town or Johannesburg - Bacchus, wave your Magic wand - i need to taste the sea in the Kingklip , snoek and kreef, the taste buds need a live reminder

the southernmost tip of Africa

Amazing photo EH ?

wish I could find the source, but it is taken from Bloubostsrand
and this is what it looked like to Jan Van Riebeeck in 1652
wonder if Zheng Ho ever saw this scenery?

Pros and Cons

  • Cons:too many tourist have discovered it: the hard currency visitors have driven up prices -(((
  • In a nutshell:Spend at least two weeks in the area - for contrast and bio-diversity; i.e. urban(e) and rural

Lovely page on my hometown. Just for info, Table Mountain does get snow on top from time to time, fortunately not like the Alps or is that unfortunate? ;-)

I'm happy for Mother City to have Helen Zille for a mayor. At least some hope after for SA after Zuma's victory. Hopefully, the winds of change will come from Western Cape this time....

Ken, interesting to read your Cape Town page. I enjoyed my stay in Cape town, though it was very short ...only three days as far I can remember.
