Have visited, will be back

Oh dear, have not done much homework to add into the pages
to be useful for future travellers to the area

just managed to get onto Zoomorama - allows you to view many photos;
to add my Photo Page of day up to Wolfberg Crack Base by me
and the other to the Wolberg Arch by Luanne

"WAS at Heathrow Airport
waiting for my flight to JoBurg
then a Mango flight to Cape Town,
3 hours drive via Tygervalley Mall
and Cederberg Winery
then Starwatching,
8 1/2 hour hilke to the Crack and Rocks
then more Rock Art "

excitement :-))) ;-))) ;-)))

an information board

Useful for those visiting the Cederberg Valley, one leave paved roads for Gravel, which was in excellent condition,
need to go over nieuwoudt Pass before one sees the Jamaka Farm sign board

en route to the Wolfberg Arch

inorganic ~ organic rock
just one of many
thanks to wind, rain and temperature changes

It is truely an amazing part of the world. We went there about 2 months ago and yes, the digital camera worked overtime. The rock formations are just too fantastc for words and the area lend itself beautifully to star gazing and star trailing photography. Unfortunately it was cloudy when we were there, so my startrails was not that succesful. Hope you will contact me when u visit again, so we can meet for coffee.

This is such a wonderful spot that few know about. The hikes must have been fabulous for the beauty in the mountains.

Great page- this brought back so many memories for me! We used to take our kids camping to Algeria in the Cedarberg, when they were small. Alas-those days are long past.We always had such fun in this beautiful place.

highly enjoyable. You could write all in Afrikaans, I think I would understand. I enjoyed San paintings at Drakensbergen!
