"Yes, yes, Pattaya, @rie .... It's truely correct!" Meckel [Indonesian famous driver Meckel Ali] make me sure with the destination. "Don't worry, it will be fun there. But pretty damn hot."

I know this famous beach from many many sources. Articles on papers, magazines, movies and travellers.
Found by several GI [is that true?] after they're landed in Vietnam. But so far I know, Thailand is the only one country in South East Asia who never got invasion by westerners. So how come? How confuse me to think :)
But okay, I meet Meckel and his cousin Jacky there. And lotta fun, even we have limited time to explore the beach itself. Mostly of time we spend at the circuit. Hang-out with drivers and asking about technical problems plus strategy. We talk a lot. From daylight, night, anytime. Including when we go dinner to the edge of the beach.

Meckel got nice start on the grid. Having problem in the hairpin after 12th lap but finally grab the podium as the winner of FAI 2002 in Bira Circuit, Pattaya.
A year after, I pass the same route on my way to Cambodia. Looking the circuit for moment and find myself, "I'd been here and I am so happy to remember my nice memory with all of FAI 2002 participants. See you again someday, Guys!!!"
