Fondest Memory: vigan is something i want to visit since i am an old building lovers [and palaces, ruins and archaeological sites]. so whenever i have time to visit philippines, my first choice goes to vigan. and the rest can be later if i have another time to revisit the phils.
i still remember very well, about "a very far away place" and "takes 8 - 10 hours ride to be there". not only from the articles and travel books i just read. but also from the passenger next to me whenever i am heading to manila. her name's zha [from laguna]. but c'est la vie, i did it.
in the evening of my departure, deepa and i pick emie up at friendly's backpacker [thanks for help us, benjie :)]. then attended vt meeting arranged by aida. completed by 'jump' into a heavy queueing companied by mike and deepa to get ticket in partas bus terminus [to direction laoag via vigan] until midnight. but it's worth to visit.
lili and aida gave so much support. not only about encouragement words but also by give me some "ammunition". from macaron cake to several snacks. so can be imagined, i don't need to take supper or snack along the bus stops. just open the packages from aida and lili :) maraming salamat po!!!!
and about vigan itself, i still have post holiday blues whenever writing here. since this city is so small, comfy and compact. everything in walking distance and less of hectic. listening people talking in ilocanos and walking fast to avoid the sunlight and find something very old along the way is very very nice.
i don't mind about 405 km [and even the correct ones 408 km] two times or nearly 1,000 km enroute cubao - vigan - pasay to visit this lady of the north. her oldness made this city so charm in my mind :)
