"the westernmost province of indonesia archipelago" Banda Aceh by ukirsari

never across in my mind, i can have an opportunity to visit the westernmost province of indonesia archipelago. my dad was a navy and one amongst his most memorable visit within our country was n.a.d. he made a gorgeous picture at the zero point of westernmost indonesia's border in rondo island, approximately 5 nautical miles with its monument and buoy. it's in black and white and i love to keep it in our home. my childhood memory was listening his bedtime stories and i am so proud of his sailing assignments. n.a.d sound pretty far, furthermost than the eastern part of indonesia that i pay a visit so often. also became a resident for awhile when i was teenager.

speaking about n.a.d and rondo island, my personal memory goes to uss rohrbass and uss hummingbird in annapolis, usa. and then changed into indonesian names: kri pulau ampalasa and kri pulau rondo. to remark some of indonesia's islets and islands.

so my dad picked up them to annapolis and on the way back, via hawaii and guam, post assignment itself, he has an opportunity to witnessing pulau rondo within n.a.d.

i was not sailing that far in n.a.d. but i enjoy my assignment and to see the beauty of the province. and my best companion is ... of course my beloved flight lt t-bear. this page i dedicated to my beloved dad. for his encouragement and his wonderful smile :)
