addressed as city of flowers, tomohon is somewhat laid-back city. with mountaineous range from the distance, lush and greenery fields are around. and it's nice to chill-out for two or few days. enjoy the hilltop panorama from tinoor restaurant to trekking activity to visit crater rim of mahawu.

situated not so far from manado, you'll be surprised by cool breeze on the way to tomohon. traditional houses, florists who put their flowers and foliages in front of their houses made tomohon so pretty.
i like to spend my days here with light trekking. visiting some traditional villages and mingle with locals and tried their food which are .... yes, very spicy indeed :)

way to mahawu (c) ukirsari

several mountains are around tomohon. from mount lokon to mount mahawu. and the sceneries sometimes breathtaking. but there's not only greenery panorama you can have here.
you can also do historical visits to the tombs of tuanku imam bonjol [the leader of padri war in aceh], kyai maja [central javanese born hero who has great relationship with prince diponegoro and his loyal guardian sentot alibasyah] to maria walanda maramis, the manadoian heroine in kemerdekaan war 1945.
