Oh yeah...it's for real. This is the town of my birth. Unfortunately the hospital where I was born is now an old folks home, but in a strange way, I guess there is some kind of symmetry to all that. At first glance the town seems charming--and for the most part, it is...if you don't stay too long. Never mess with the locals, though. This is also the birth (and death) place of infamous spree-killer Charles Starkweather. In case you're interested, his grave is located in Wyuka Cemetery near 40th & O Street. Just stop by the office, and they'll tell you where to find his burial site. |
had Andy Warhol visited Nebraska... perhaps he'd have created this image. but he didn't, so I did. |

MrNWA4Life Sun Mar 25, 2007 07:28 UTC I wish I had a few more days there. It was a fun trip. I'll have to go again in another year. I just wish Nebraska would have found another day to execute him besides my birthday. :-( | briefs16689 Wed Oct 19, 2005 05:52 UTC I would like to send you a picture of the Sower that you might like. It is real. I took it myself. I live here. | 78Eva Sun May 16, 2004 16:44 UTC I like your pop art, Andy Warhol should not have neglected Nebraska! | yooperprof Thu Feb 5, 2004 21:39 UTC You're right about the locals. The only place I've been mugged is Lincoln Nebraska. |
