An aerial view from 2,000 feet of Mauna Loa's (the company, not the mountain) 1,200 acre mac nut farm just outside of Hilo.

While on our Feel the Heat Tour with Tropical Helicopters, we flew over Mauna Loa's macadamia nut (makema, as it is called in Hawaiian) farm. Here I am looking straight down at their 1,200 acres of trees just outside of Hilo. In the foreground you can see the helicopter's runner in the middle and my leg in lower left. The tour is flown WITHOUT the doors on the aircraft! What a spectacular ride!
