Atop Mt. Healy in Denali National Park
Alaska was a great trip but also somewhat of a disappointment. I'm not exactly sure why but maybe if we had more than just 9 days to explore up here and if the skies were clear that opinion may be different. With it being cloudy and raining everyday but one while were here, it was difficult to get a real feel for it, I guess.

We flew into Anchorage, rented a car and explored the city a few days. Then we dropped the car and boarded the Alaska Railroad for a full-day trip to Denali National Park. We were here a few days until we boarded a bus and rode back to Anchorage. Here we picked up another rental car and drove down to Seward. We were here a couple days and did a fjords boat tour. It was great! We then drove to Soldotna, which was on the other side of the Kenai peninsula. We were here a few days. Went drift-boat fishing for Kings on one day. We each caught one and shipped them home. We then drove back to Anchorage for our flight home.

The continuous grey and gloomy skies were very depressing. And with it being the first week of June, us Florida folks were used to hot sunny weather this time of year. But that was not to be here but for one single day.
