The named as coined in honor of Crown Prince Philip of Spain who ironically never saw nor set foot on any of the coveted 7,107 isles that eventually were all called Philippines of Pilipinas. Favorite Thing: Our roads and highways are dotted with stalls selling local produce and handicrafts, often at bargain prices. As a general rule, produce sellers will not lower their prices significantly or depends on the season of product, though handicraft seller may offer you big reductions. The correct term to use when asking for a price reduction is to ask for %sr”tawad”%s*(discount). Always remember the prices are already far lower than you will find in the markets, supermarkets and handicraft stores in Manila.
