Thus far- I have made 3 trips to the United Kingdom. March 2001, March 2002, and most recently, August of 2004. As my travel history would indicate- I adore the place. I consider Scotland to be one of my most favorite places in the WHOLE world, and England is a close second.
I'm not quite sure what it is about the place that draws me to it... perhaps my penchance for the accent, or maybe the amazing bands that are produced here... whatever it is, it's got me hooked. I can't wait to head that direction for school! |
March 2001 My sophomore year of highschool- a whirlwind trip from Scotland to London (via Bus... interesting stories along with that!) and a couple of days in Paris. Feel in love with Edinburgh instantly- wasn't too impressed with London, though that all changed the following year. |
March 2003 Senior year in highschool- 6 days in London- followed by two in Paris. Had a blast- did tons of shopping. Was instantly at home in the city- despite the difficulty we had in finding Oxford street our first morning out. Amazed at the kindness of people- interesting conversations with random people on the street. Quite possibly spent half my time either in an HMV or Virgin Megastore. What can I say... big brit music fan! | | | Cynthia and I, walking in London |

sourbugger Thu Dec 1, 2005 06:28 UTC god, would have murdered anybody singing near me in that situation. | themajor Fri Aug 26, 2005 17:06 UTC Never mind the veggy haggis Lisa - didn't you get to try that other great Scottish delicacy, the deep fried Mars bar?! Most distressed to learn from your tips that I am one of the few UK residents unable to strum a guitar. I shall hang my head in shame... | Arm-Chair-Hero Fri Nov 19, 2004 18:55 UTC veggi haggis? glad you enjoyed your trip and hope you get to make many more :O) | dsantosh Sun Sep 21, 2003 11:29 UTC Excellnant home page, fantastic phtographs ..Many many happy returns of the day..Wishing you a happy birthday... |
